And if you do encourage WFH you don’t reduce footfall for town / city centre small business and hospitality if redundant office space is converted to residential space!

Yes I did mean this one. But yeah I’m sure you could find many more if the media put as much effort into taking down Farage as they did with Rayner!

Would he even hold his seat at the next election?

That’s really well put actually, you’ve hit the nail on the head. I think a similar logic applies to Labour voters at the last election. They were united in wanting to get the Tories out not what Labour were offering.

I also feel some of the beer price comparisons are a little disingenuous

What is better value? A 3.2% pint of Carling for £3.50 in a small town or a highly hopped 2/3 pint of 7.3% IPA for £7 in a major city?

Obviously people’s palette plays a massive part here too!

The hypocrisy of the Telegraph here. Only a few years ago they were warning Corbyn would take us back to the 70s. And as newspapers go, I don’t think you will find one so pro-pollution as them

It’s a viscous circle as all types of media, from both political flanks focus on how bad the country is. Disillusionment with politics isn’t new but becoming amplified and that’s not a good thing

A separate but relevant point is cynicism is one of the traits Brits should be rightly proud of!
