It works the other way for progressives. We might be sympathetic to the LD’s or Greens but the fear of letting Reform or Tories in means Labour benefit from our tactical votes

If Labour moves even further right that fear changes. We may as well just vote LD or Green as there is nothing to lose
Reform have been able to grow in spite of the FPTP system because their voters see Labour and Conservatives as the same. They don’t fear a Labour government anymore than a Tory as to them there is no difference. As a result they don’t need to consider tactical voting
I don’t particularly trust Ayoub Khan’s opinion on this matter but how naive of Starmer and Badenoch to not understand that an Israeli football club might actually have hooligans too.

Why is it impossible to have a serious debate on this issue?

Why is an aging PL reject’s rant about how how shit life in English is despite “not being political but these are the things he’s read online” headline news on the BBC Sport page
Very hypothetical but at next election, Reform and Greens are largest parties. Both short of a majority but could get over the line with the support of Labour and Lib Dems, which option would they choose

I think I know what LD way go but I’d be really worried about Labour in this unlikely scenario!
I’m appalled by his austerity too. I think you might have misunderstood where I’m going with this. By the way, which “supporters” are you referring too
Labour’s credibility issues is partly their fault. They naively thought if they pandered to the far right media, that same media and followers would give them a free pass. It was so encouraging to see Zack Polanski telling exactly as it is on Question Time
Keir Starmer is obviously shit. But he’s not as shit as Sunak and certainly nowhere near as shit as Johnson or Truss

Yet vast swathes of the country have been brainwashed by social media to think he’s the worst PM ever. I know Labour should be held to a higher standard than Tories but even so.
I guess I am reluctantly a white middle aged man now. I’m not remotely offended by Gary Neville’s comments because I know they are spot on. By the same logic, there’s no need for OAP remainers to be offended by comments directed at OAP Brexiteers
You could say this is the space the Lib Dem’s currently occupy but TBH they are probably left of Labour now on economics now

Either way it would be better for our country to have more voices not so infatuated with fear and hatred. Wishful thinking I know
I’m far from advocating a comeback for the Tories but I’d have thought there’d be space for a fiscally right of centre but socially centrist to liberal party

Now that Reform has sweeped up all the rabid elements of the Tory party, this seems the ideal place to position themselves to become relevant
I often read #afcb have trouble breaking down a low block but is that really unique to us. I think 75% of fans would say the same about their club too. Probably the reality is clubs are very well coached and organised now and it’s hard to break down defences in general.
Labour should start talking about things other than immigration. It won’t shift the media agenda immediately, but eventually they will have to report on Labour’s talking points and that’s when people will see Reform has nothing else to say about Britain
How and why? Is Darren really saying taxing billionaires and fossil fuel companies is a darker path than sinking boats and attacking hotels? Perhaps I’m missing some context but if the populist left is really that scary, Darren needs to provide credible answers beyond upsetting Corporate
Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister, Darren Jones, says that "the progressive movement outside of the Labour Party" must understand that "populism on the left... risks taking us down a much darker path for our country"
Every interaction between BBC and Labour politicians revolves around Reform agenda. This is not balanced coverage

Otherwise BBC would have talked nonstop about how renationalising public utilities was popular with public when Labour was in opposition
Some interviewers aren’t particularly skilled in the art. On technical part of an interview him saying “I’m sure you know all this so I won’t bother asking” doesn’t make it easy to sell myself!

And it’s great you telling me all about the company, but you should ask me what I know first!
Have a job interview tomorrow. Is Tory Blue still the default tie option?

Might be a little too close to Reform Blue and not sure the City has fully embraced Faragenomics yet even if the fash part is ok

Think Lib Dem yellow might be best
Hurrah for Andy Burnham. He’s been lobbying BNY for years for this. This is what levelling up really looks like. Not coming less London centric but taking jobs from struggling southern towns to already powerful Manchester www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/news/2547978...

That is a red for a DOGSO but even if it wasn’t it would be a straight red for the tackle
I don’t agree with Zack Polanski on everything but I have a lot more faith in him to run a successful party than anything Corbyn, Sultana and the other “sexist boys” can come up with

Strong leadership is required more than ever on the left. It’s not just about policy but authority and perception
Best way to do this would be a change in electoral system. FPTP is not suitable for the multi party system we have now
If I were a racist, I’d be more impressed with what Starmer has done as PM than any other PM in recent history. Yet because these thugs are so radicalised, they see him as the enemy. I wish Starmer was genuinely an enemy to the far right rather than an enabler
I saw a comment on a website suggesting with Milo and Hill starting #afcb would have an atrociously slow back line. Not seen any of the game but nice to see naysayers in the mud already
