At the Earlham Institute, we develop tools that help researchers share, access, and use large #genomic datasets. 🖥️🧬

One of those is Grassroots Genomics - an open-source platform supporting the plant genomic community. #FAIRdata #OpenScience

Congratulations to all of the #GRFP awardees and honorable mentions! It’s devastating that award #’s were cut so severely this year, but I’m happy that at least some were offered.

**Know that if you did not get the award- it does not define you.**
🚨 Not a drill: NSF GRFP results are NOW OUT!!!!!

But...good news and bad news.

👍 I'm *thrilled* for the grad students for whom getting this award will be life-changing, esp now.

👎 # of fellowships went down by 51%

(1000 this year vs. 2036 last year)

Annual GRFP thread, more relevant than ever (# of awards down 50%).

This thread is for students who didn't win the GRFP today. Who are wondering if they belong in science, or scrolling through posts that start "So excited to announce..." with a little spurt of bitterness they aren’t proud of. 1/9
