In Monrovia, California, protesters are purchasing 17¢ ICE scrapers from Home Depot and immediately returning them to create long lines and slow down the entire store. Their aim is to disrupt sales and convey a message opposing ICE raids occurring in their neighborhood.

“The contrasting responses serve as a reminder of car culture’s dominance in the Garden State. An estimated 92,000 drivers entered the congestion zone from New Jersey every day,... That’s less than half the daily ridership on the PATH train.” gothamist.com/news/nj-lead...
NJ leaders who hated on congestion pricing notably silent on PATH fare hikes
The PATH fare is set to rise from $3 to $4 over the next four years.

NYC gives out parking for free so naturally the parking garage owners park zipcars they were paid to store on the street, for free

See a Placard Holder illegally parked on the sidewalk outside a city services facility. Look them up: No Surprises. 115 speeding tickets. @nyc.streetsblog.org

Paved last night, such a rushed, cheap sloppy job: uneven, bumpy roads. Our taxes at work.

Muscle Car without a front license plate tries to cut you in the crosswalk. Look them up. No surprises. Automatic enforcement tickets only suggests @placardabuse.bsky.social

Tickets instead of towing a vehicle completely blocking the crosswalk on a heavily used Intersection.

This is not justice. The mass murderer had a suspended license and amassed $11k in fines for traffic and parking tickets, including 21 speed camera violations. In a city that takes reckless driving seriously she’d have had her car impounded before she had the chance to kill.

at one point, i watched a cook county sheriff’s officer (who appears to be in charge) point out a priest in the crowd.

he and a couple officers then went into the crowd , dragged him into the street, and arrested him.

situation is still tense as crowd jostles with police to get into the street.

While camera-based speed and red light enforcement are great and speed governors will help stop the worst repeat offenders, what we really need is for the police to actually enforce basic traffic laws like “you have to actually stop at stop signs and red lights” and “your car needs license plates.”

Bet Traffic Enforcement Agents would have been ticketing a vehicle with no driver completely blocking a crosswalk at school dismissal hour if they were here and not standing feet away with their hands in their pockets
