🧵 Four years ago today, a Benz driver struck and killed Xing Long Lin, a Chinese delivery worker riding a scooter in Astoria. DA Melinda Katz refused to acknowledge the devastating loss suffered by Lin’s family and declined to hold the killer accountable. Please remember him.

You can run for the City Council from LI
You don’t need to live in the City of New York in order to run for the Council of the City of New York. At least not until Election Day.

I wish it were sunnier, but this is the perfect NYC biking temperature, sorry to say. Gloves and light layers, no winter gear needed just yet, no sweat, no sun exposure, and the fair weather riff raff is out of the bike lanes.

This is not justice. The mass murderer had a suspended license and amassed $11k in fines for traffic and parking tickets, including 21 speed camera violations. In a city that takes reckless driving seriously she’d have had her car impounded before she had the chance to kill.
