These witches don't burn - Isabel Sterling

I liked this book but I think both the two main romances (MC with new gf and MC with ex) could/should have been developed further. But I guess that is what the prequel and sequel are for. I'll read those in time

Reading is certainly one of my main processing tools

There are definitely nonfiction like this (both guides and biographies) but I usually find fiction as a better tool for empathy and understanding when it comes to emotion

I think this might be partly why I'm looking for some novel about a lesbian who is introduced to polyamory but deals with internalised doubts and mononormativity... but I haven't found that book yet. Triple sec was very close but I need more

I hope so too

[I really need to work on my internalised bigotry, even the parts I haven't yet recognised. It seems like my childhood probably had more repressed micro aggressions and normative assumptions than I realised]

It is definitely those things but I also think it's that I am able to recognise some elements of my past that I haven't thought of in those terms and that helps me process things I have hidden away.

[I definitely do that]

It might be because I haven't experienced really bad homo/transphobia, but even just the little things I have experienced gives me a stronger connection to those characters than if those elements are not present at all. Of course I do get the escapism or dream of a better world without the bigotry

You are probably right. I hope so! We had some small steps forward yesterday evening after I posted that. But it is still so unfair of me to hurt others from my jealousy

Especially Naomi

The problem is that I'm inflicting those pains on others

You do???

Fade into you - Amber Smith & Sam Gellar

A sapphic romance set in 1999 filled with homophobia and mental health issues. I liked both the main pairing and the plot. I recommend it!
