This was me the last week. I'm so ready to say goodbye to summer for the next 6 months after the humidity and warmth of the north.

Didn't even read much as I was too busy doing nothing

Here's my two cats being pests to each other. Don't ask who started it 😂

This landed in my inbox just in time for the trr.

Too bad it's a netgalley link so I guess I'll be reading it on my phone ... *Cries in kobo*

Highly recommend this series. both book 1 and 2 have cliffhangers but this is the final book so it's the perfect time to pick them up

This isn't for a fucking hardback, it's for an EBOOK!! A children's book!!

You want 37 fucking Australian dollars for an

E BOOK

(This is why I get all my trad pub books through the library. Wtf is this shit. I'll wait my 6 weeks wait on Libby, thx)

Started The Gilded Crown by Marianne Gordon last night. Buddy read with my wife.

Both enjoying the lush writing and can quickly tell it's going to break my heart

Don't let the cover fool you, it's an adult fantasy. It IS NOT a ya romantasy.

This one is for the messy sapphics

Wydm release date is March 13th for the ebook and 19th for physical?!

I know they're probably published by different publishers but with everything dropping at the same time these days it's bullshit.

How are we supposed to avoid spoilers now?!

What I did for free this week:

-Went to a library for 3 hours and used their Internet/heating (it was cold in summer!)
-Almost finished The Prey of God's, a library borrow
-Spent time working on my Notion book catalogue

Eventually I'll make a blank database of my Notion book tracker for sharing

What I made/fixed the last week!!

I want to start sharing ways I save money and make my items last longer.

Last weekend i repaired my work overalls which were wearing away at the thighs. I had a sewing machine and a vague idea how to fix them. This is the result.

Finished this cutie last night!

I enjoyed it for what it was. Author keeps saying she wrote the mc as aro and ace. It's not very obvious in the text, but the main character does prioritise friendships and there's very little romance between side characters.

Get to know me by my all time favs and my 'meh'/hated books

Below are some popular books I hated and some popular books I loved. We can still be friends if you think I'm wrong. Btw, I'm not wrong, we're just all different

(No dnfs included)

This is your daily reminder to get and use your library card.

If I didn't use mine I would have bought this book and regretted it.

But instead I get to return it and not have a 'meh' book sit on my shelves

My shelf space is reserved for books I want to reread and cherish.

The Sapling Cage by Margaret Killjoy.

A young trans woman takes her best friend's place to join a coven of witches. It's a series and I really enjoyed the first book.

Really good at talking about changing your body to suit your own needs vs changing to suit society.

Omg this is so adorably adventures. I'm loving this so far.

Impossible Creatures by Katherine Rundell.

Middle grade novel that is full of wonder and imagination.

Sequel comes out this September

I don't consider Raybearer by Jordan Ifueko to be an asexual book and always roll my eyes when I see it on ace book posts

The ace character isn't the main character.

Do you have personal beef with a book for similar reasons?

(I love Raybearer and recommend it!!)

tip for posting alt text.

there's a setting under accessibility that won't let you hit 'post' until you've added alt text
