For this year's trans rights readathon I'd love to see trans women and fem authors put first. If you're making prompts, art, and sharable posts:

PUT THEM FIRST

and if your reading list leaves out trans women/fem authors: fuck off with your fake allyship

IYMI cos I know LOTS of you are queer readers and writers. Last week, I launched Prideopoly 2025 - my reading challenge for Pride Month! Here is the board and my launch video! 💙📚🌈

As always, even if this isn't your thing, a share would go a long way to find my community 🥰 youtu.be/xuyCMesUyQk?...

I forgot to post about international asexual day yesterday, but Rowling didn't forget 🙃

She just can't fucking help herself.

Why is she so obsessed with queer people? 😒

This was me the last week. I'm so ready to say goodbye to summer for the next 6 months after the humidity and warmth of the north.

Didn't even read much as I was too busy doing nothing

After a month of complaints, #NetGalley is working on a permanent fix with #Kobo so you can download eARCs again! #booksky
For anyone having issues reading eARCs on Kobo since #Netgalley changed to Kindle only, you can use these steps to load your eARCs on your Kobo devices. You will need to download both the kindle app and Calibre program (both free) on your PC or laptop. #booksky www.reddit.com/r/NetGalleyC...

Shitting on an entire genre because you didn't like legends and lattes? 😂😂

If you want pain in cosy fantasy just read something else. Becky Chambers Wayfarers series is right there. There are so many cosy books with pain, just ask ffs.

If you’re posting trans books recommendations and I don’t see a single trans women or trans femme character written by a trans women or trans femme author, side eye 👀 absolute side eye

This year for the trans rights readathon I'm just existing.

No tbr from me.

Love seeing what everyone else is reading though!

I've spotted a few recent favs, one of them being the Sapling Cage by Margaret Killjoy 🎉

This landed in my inbox just in time for the trr.

Too bad it's a netgalley link so I guess I'll be reading it on my phone ... *Cries in kobo*

Highly recommend this series. both book 1 and 2 have cliffhangers but this is the final book so it's the perfect time to pick them up

Indie authors get told $2.99 is too much for their ebooks but trad pub just releases Sunrise on the Reaping's ebook for $18.99.

I'm all for paying for what I get.

I buy special editions/paperbacks/hardcovers of books I've read for free from the library or as arcs.

But this is a CHILDREN'S book. And it's getting this treatment because they know they can get away with it
While I'm at it

The paperback has a rrp of $30.

Children/Young adult books are generally priced around 20ish rrp.

Scholastic themselves sell young adult books for 20 or less rrp...

Yet this one gets the high price tag because it can 🗑️🗑️🗑️
This isn't for a fucking hardback, it's for an EBOOK!! A children's book!!

You want 37 fucking Australian dollars for an

E BOOK

(This is why I get all my trad pub books through the library. Wtf is this shit. I'll wait my 6 weeks wait on Libby, thx)

Just another heads up for those adding this to their tbr for the trans rights readathon.

I'm not here to judge if you read this but if you like to know what you're in for then 👇
Saw something today that reminded me that this book excludes trans women and when it was pointed out the editor had a full transmisogynistic meltdown on twitter.

Started The Gilded Crown by Marianne Gordon last night. Buddy read with my wife.

Both enjoying the lush writing and can quickly tell it's going to break my heart

Don't let the cover fool you, it's an adult fantasy. It IS NOT a ya romantasy.

This one is for the messy sapphics

Happy #BlackHistoryMonth!

What began as a simple reading list of forthcoming Black transfemme novels blossomed into a full critique of White supremacist publishing, Black literary erasure, and the supplementarity of the Black transfemme body as text 🖤

I know a lot of people are boycotting Amazon, which is great, but it's hurting a lot of trans authors.

Trans authors: Drop links to your NON-AMAZON book listings/storefronts.

Cis people: Repost, boost, and, importantly, buy. Part of boycotting an evil corporation is supporting the alternatives.
