One of the best moments of the post-game for me was Eustace gifting me my own portrait. I'd missed his drops several times, and it became a running joke someone was going to try and have my PFP drawn instead of my actual character.

And then Eustace tags me in this. I was crying with laughter.

So he did. In a move that catapulted him into legendary spending status, he spent the credits he'd earned drawing these incredible little portraits on a salvage cutter and brought it to us.

As we rebuilt it, we alternately sympathized with his need to leave the Dream, and gave him advice.

On the second night, I introduced the use of the #Starforged yes/no oracles and generated the layout of the ship using the derelict tables in the same book.

I've got a couple examples below. I'm going to try and pull an archive of the whole dock and post that later, but this gives you an idea.

It's important to note that when Alcyone unmasked what had happened to Thatch, she subjected herself to a VONC (which she handily defeated). Her embezzlement led to /more/ union hall arguments and /more/ people leaving.

Now our newly-elected president was getting pulled into talks with Bratheavy leaders, who were openly questioning whether Tylerb's words constituted threats on behalf of the union.

A vote was called to eject Tylerb, and it failed.
November 15, 2025 at 1:32 PM
Second, Tylerb's kill-fund was getting side-eyed by other factions.

For weeks, Tylerb had specified a target for the kill-fund: big_dog beefstink. I don't 100% know why, but I would guess (and hope) he wanted to be known as a check to beefstink's power, a reminder to the people the emperor was nude

Now while all this is going on, two other things happened. One, Hark Worman, a Teamster who had been running a mole within Canyonheavy had the severed head of that mole delivered to his apartment (which an assassin would need to know to kill them).
November 15, 2025 at 1:32 PM
For a long time that VONC was close to dead even. Slowly, it began to be clear that Thatch would lose. The moment she did, she locked herself in her office, embezzled 30mil credits, and escaped through the air vents.

Her execution was also voted on, but was wildly unpopular.
November 15, 2025 at 1:32 PM
But we had our fishtank prez. Our fishtank prez wasted NO time. Within 3-4 days, she had concluded an independent investigation into Secretary Thatch and determined that the official story was completely untrue and that Thatch had instead requested /Bratva/ to carry out the assassination.

This is where I gotta give it up for Alcyone, who is an incredibly politically savvy player that just completely blew our expectations out of the water. She was far more active in other alliances and conspiracies than we were, and I think this narrowly secured her victory against the Interim Prez

See, this kind of 'Louvre of Bluesky' post happens every day in the default subreddits and that's why I can't stay out of the comments even though it's actively bad for me. And it's so specifically Reddit-brained (Alfalfa's death is a common repost for karma farming), it's too good.

I will forever think of Alcyone as being played by Melanie Lynskey

At this point, Nibs had already been contributing anonymously to the kill fund, and in quite large (for a teamster) amounts. Now he decided to let Tylerb (pronounced Ty-lurb, canonically) know he was on board.

Shortly after, Nibs was pulled into a thread called 'Council of Ancients'

The money from this, as well as the money from anonymous donations, would go into the Kill Fund, presumably to kill beefstink. In his off-time, he would be in the Union Hall and, incredibly, be a voice of measured reason, patience, and solidarity.

To say Sanyang was a divisve president is probably an understatement. But this was maybe the first truly divisive vote we'd had as a Union. Earlier VONCs had failed with probably 70% against, this was the first one that was truly split.
November 13, 2025 at 4:28 AM
What was explained to us was that the President had been about to push the button for a war with Bratva, allying us openly with Tempest, the station's resident PMC. We were shown the contract, and then told the Secretary, in an attempt to stop further overreach, had called security to stop her.
November 13, 2025 at 4:28 AM
While I was writing my entrance, wheeling a bunch of boxes of liquor into the bar with a hand truck someone noticed that President Sanyang was dead.

There was no announcement, no fanfare. Just seemingly randomly, our president had been assassinated.

How's this relate to the docks? Well, for the first time in a long time, I was making RPG content. I wrote up the unspoken rules that just sort of /existed/ into a coherent game mechanic for newer players. To be clear, everything I wrote down /already existed to me/...
November 13, 2025 at 4:28 AM
And here I was surrounded by people who were creating, building and making things to enjoy. And it was /infectious/.

I had been telling myself for the better part of a year I wanted to make art. A friend even gifted me their old drawing tablet.

Because of Over/Under, I made pixel art.
November 13, 2025 at 4:28 AM
At this point, it was clear we sorta had established a rhythm on the docks as sort of a "monster-of-the-week" game. Soon after, Merle left to become a mod, and left the dock, in-character, to Nibs, citing the call of Laika/Van Allen as their reason for departure.

This is it, this is what it means to win #over/under. Thank you @d20plusmodifier.bsky.social, it was an honor to be in the fishbowl with you.
