This is exactly what they are doing, and every Medicaid agency absolutely despises them for it. Equifax is going over the agencies' heads, straight to governors, insisting that the agencies sign a contract with Equifax, even though they can get access to The Work Number for free from CMS!
Three Democratic senators accused the credit-rating company Equifax of price gouging states for a service many will use to comply with the new work requirements for Medicaid and food assistance passed by Republicans in Congress last year.

As someone who unseated a 26-year, 13-term Republican legislator who voted against Medicaid expansion, I can say the hubris of telling your constituents "we're all going to die" when they're concerned about you denying them health insurance and then doubling down by mocking them may just backfire.🧵
