I also learned a lot today. In three hours today, I learned more about the family funeral home than I did during the 18 years I grew up in it. Dad brought about a lot of items I have never seen. So much history in that place. I'm so glad it seems to be in such good and kind hands.

But also going through photos of Mom and my dad's parents, 40+ years of grief was a lot. I realized how much I missed my mom, who has only been gone 2 weeks, and grandparents, who've been gone for 25 and 43 years.

I cannot imagine the pain he is experiencing. I hope he will want to come and visit. I think the kids would like that. I will even drive to NC to get him.

I tried to compartmentalize and be the outside observer, but that was nigh impossible. And Dad still reacted strongly to the small amount of work I did, but it was still a lot.

Firetrucks. Thats all I remember specifically, other than Kevin Tighe as one of the paramedics. I know I watched the shit out of that on TV after school.
