Fozzie is my favourite Muppet, but neither of the Pops do anything for me. I find Gonzo's only marginally better. Perhaps it fits the FP aesthetic? Eh, I don't know; I still don't want it.

I broke down and bought First Mate Piggy.

Most Funko Pops don't excite me. There are a few I think are cool, but the vast majority, I will pass over. Today, I saw this one and gasped. Not sure I want it, but memories of me as a kid, writing my own scripts for Pigs in Space skits.

The cables are a little gummy, but I cleaned that off and will see if the jackets continue to actively degrade.

Now, I need to open it up to see if the electronics are still good and find a breakout cable of some kind and see if it'll still work.

An old Bakelite type business phone that is capable of 5 separate phone lines. It is a greenish tint. It has a white face-plate. The line buttons line from top to bottom on the right-hand side. The buttons are clear and cubish, except the red hold button as the sixth button. It is a manual dial phone with a "Centel Systems" logo on the center. The line labels have been redacted because I don't know whose number those are (they may not belong to the business anymore). The end of the cable that comes out of the phone. It looks a bit like an old parallel cable.

While looking for photos of Mom for for her memorial, my brother found this gem. I have sent it to my kids and have told them not to ever complain about being bored because back in my day I had two bricks and a rope.
Me, in 1977, smiling while standing at the end of our drive way, pulling the middle of a rope with each end tied to a red brick. Me = 5yo blonde-haired boy, wearing a red jacket with a yellow liner, blue jeans, and sneakers similar to Chuck Taylors (but not because I didn't get my first pair of those until middle or high school. The shadows are long and go from right to left, so it's late in the day. Behind me is the street we lived on and us kids played in. Across the street, there's a red brick house to the left and to the right is a line of trees going away from the street along a chain link fence.

The Dynamic range of the original CD is 12 (dB, I believe), whereas the reissue/remaster is only 7.

Then we got LCD and all the improvements. I'm 75 and I love my OLED High Definition pictures on my TV. If you are happy with 720p, then you don't know what a real HD TV can show you or what fast refresh rates mean. To each their own.

The first photo I took from the house just before we moved into it. I was staying there while I was working. We would arrive about 3 weeks later.
A snow covered driveway at night with a line of tall hedges with strings of holiday lights. There is several cm of undisturbed snow. The unplowed street is glowing under the street lapms. The hedges with the lights gives off a warm glow, despite it being a cold evening.

One difference between PIT and YYZ is that today, the day after a snow, most of the snow in the trees is still there. We're still in a "winter wonderland". In YYZ, it rarely stays in the trees because it's usually a dryer snow (colder) and the wind just blows it right out.

I miss doing this in Toronto.

Right: a laser cut wood ornament of the CN tower being climbed by a giant raccoon. (from Cry Wolf, Toronto) 3. Bottom left: a small wooden pair of red mittens with a maple leaf on one and "Canada" on the other. I bought this in Pearson on the way back to Atlanta just weeks before we moved to Toronto in 2017. I think this was supposed to be a keychain, but I made it into an ornament.
