Well she is being played by the same actress for Mary/Maria so I'm not hopeful about her being her character anymore. I guess James is psycho and sees every woman he meets as Mary in a bad wig.

also I'm a bit mad they changed the iconic opening lines of Mary's letter "In my restless dreams" > "James, so much time has passed-"
Maybe there's more to the letter & what's shown is actually when it slowly disappears later & it just seems like the iconic opening isn't used?
