I was surprised to see I already have over 100 hours in Silent Hill f. I know time was added w/ streaming since I did not skip repeated cutscenes & I replayed areas it was possible to skip in NG+ ...but honestly most of this was Hard Mode & Lost in the Fog kicking my butt haha

There's major unreliable narration happening in this game! I was pretty surprised at how differently I looked at different characters and even situations the more I replayed!

Luckily most fans will replay SHf a bunch... but I can't help but wince a bit reading some misinterpretations of scenes or characters that are clearly based on just one or two playthroughs.

This is a big departure from other games in the series as it's possible to get the gist of the entire story in one playthrough w/ the only major differences being the endings themselves or maybe an extra side mission. Silent Hill f has taken a big risk hiding its story this way.

(Even the UFO ending adds more insight to character relationships - but it is mostly a joke ending. This is mainly about the importance of getting all the non joke ending)

I can not stress enough the importance of going for all the endings if you wish to understand the story Silent Hill f is trying to tell. Each playthrough adds new dialogue, cutscenes, and documents which add more context to the story and character motivations.
