I’ve said something similar in book reviews: I knew the characters’ destination, but what a thrill it was to watch their journey.
Anyway, all that is to say that knowing where you’ll end up doesn’t have to negate or diminish the experiences you have on the way to get there. And that goes for literature as well.

Update: Yes, I needed a day after this and am nowhere near done. My journal is super-weird, just the way I like it, and I’m getting writer’s cramp and nearly writing a pen dry.
Last time I went to a drag pageant, I took the next day off to rest and write about it in full in my journal. Should I have done the same after Miss Big Adam’s Apple?
