The two felt their gait slow, but their sync never wavered.  A Leashmaid Naga lord, and a Leashmaid Feline. Minds subsumed by their goth bimbo mantras and their leather outfits. They were meant to be seen. their marks reward them. pleasure courses through their bodies with each stomp of their boots. They were pendulums. swaying their sculpted hips to draw the gaze of everyone. They knew they would sink under the sight of their bodies. Buttlebeak Drone Log Day 23 Goodness gracious these Buttlebeaks are really running through the ringer! I've noticed the further I have worked with these drones it's gotten so much easier for them to lose track of their work/life balance. The Polished Bill Manual clearly extolls the virtues of care from their head Butler. So I have a nifty little procedure my Buttlebeaks are all too eager to exercise: The Glove Pat!  It's quite simple. As I calmly reassure and praise the hardworking Buttlebeaks, a handful of fellow drones approach with their serving gloves and knead and massage all over their tired body. loosening the muscles and untying knotted binds to help them slip down into a relaxing hypnotic state. Where they can be at ease for a little while and soak in all the positive feedback I, and the Buttlebeak staff can muster.  I take great pains to personally participate in this prestigious pampering procedure. And so far it appears to be of great help to the buttlebeaks on staff whom have bene in need to relax after a long day of intense work. Let's hope we don't have too many stress incidents as we near the end of our little competition!

C.O.S.H.A. Orientation session 85- Evaluations We understand the sting of needing improvement. But nothing says safety like learning from mistakes. An important part of that process is, you guessed it, paperwork!  The 75-USGy Form is the bedrock of all COSHA rulesets. Every safety measure we've come up with was thanks to precedence. Yes even the .5mm adjustment to yellow tape width (refer to manual chapter 6.45. it's an interesting read!). All C.O.S.H.A. agents and safety inspectors are required to respond to an inquiry invoked by a 75-USGy. The following questions are things you might find on a 75-USGy, please take the time to answer them succinctly and honestly when you do. Are you able to obey orders while being distracted thinking about tripping hazards?  How best would you find ways to avoid noncompliance of orders in an environment of suboptimal safety conditions? How would you rate your Drone experiences as a COSHA USAGI? Are there ways you find the COSHA manual too restrictive, and do you have ways you would personally find protocols more effectively utilized? These are just a sample of the helpful process to improve COSHA operations to make Safety a higher priority than bureaucratic minutiae!

[Audio log, information irretrievable and voices distorted.] The audio contains a conversation with two individuals. The first is closer to the microphone, and sounds like Kai Tyde. Kai: “Thanks for coming dude, I need all hands for some A.I. help.” A.I.: “I assume you mean someone other than me?” Kai: “Yeah, I was really digging this new drone program. Bright’s old computer assistant T-” A.I.: “Tektite, I'm familiar. What's the issue with it?” Kai: “I thought the dude would . . . I don't know, just make drones but . . .” A.I.: “Starting to realize the problem with that?” Kai: “For something made of a bunch of numbers that can't count to two, they have a lot more emotion than I was expecting. I got the feeling Dr. Bright’s wanting back into Cognizant. And out of everyone that doesn’t want that, Tektite wants it the least. But man, even mentioning her has it crashing out. I’m getting worried what might happen if she actually does run into it.” A.I.: “Do they need termination?” Kai: “NO! . . . sorry, just, I can't have a mastermind disappear during an event. I just, I need someone to go, I don't know, check their software? Make sure bright isn't affecting them?” A.I.: “Not alter, but someone who can report back if something is wrong.” Kai: “Yeah! I just need . . . what does Jasper call it, a bug report?” A.I.: “I can do something like that . . . for a favor.” Kai: “Really man? Fine, what's the extortion here?” A.I.: “Simple, I don't want to deal with all the COSHA bunny paper work that's going to come out of this.” Kai: There's a long light sigh. “Jasper is gonna wreck me . . .” °     °     °     °     ° [Video recording inside of a facility 18 data stream.] An otter in a blue sweater walks further into the facility. A number of vaugekin attempt to impede his progress. There is a sudden light blue glow shining off the otter, noticeably in his eyes, hands, and tips of the fur on his head. A number of cyan pins form in their hands before being thrown at the Vaugekin. There is a glitch distortion around the drones before freezing still. The otter continues walking forward to a console, showing a large white triangle on his back, a pattern on the sweater itself. Ace: “Artificery . . . I can make things out of thin air in a digital world, and yet I can't even access a computer inside a computer . . .” He looks back at the vaugekin before putting his hands on the sides of the console. The glow around him returns, and with it the sounds of typing, though he notably doesn't touch the keyboard. The keys just move on their own. Ace: “Let's see . . . personal ID log . . . Tektite file . . . what's happening under your hood buddy?” Ace: “Really mad at Bright, a lot of security increases . . . that’s good I suppose . . . drones serve all? That's a bit . . .” Ace: “Huh, emotional response index? . . . when they asked for dormancy, I thought they would have lowered this. So that's why Tektite's been off . . .” There is a red flicker in the recording as the blue glow around Ace fades out. Ace: “A bit worrying, but nothing I ca-” As Ace tries to pull back, the console flashes a bright Red, and strings of energy jolt around him. Ace's form begins distorting, breaking apart, and fragmenting into large pixelated blocks. The door to the room slams open, and Tektite enters. As the otter’s form further breaks apart, the red computer program walks closer. Their detached head locked onto Ace while the body just slowly walks up behind them. Tektite: “INTRUDERS WILL BE THOROUGHLY PUNISHED!” The magical glow starts to form, but is interrupted by their arms falling off at his shoulders. There's no blood seen from the socket, as if the otter was just a toy. More parts of him broke apart from there. Their form abstracting and fragmenting into more parts. Each part of him glitching and distorting more. Tektite: “YOUR HANDS HAVE BEEN DEEMED UNFIT FOR GENERAL PURPOSE. REALLOCATION OF MENTAL DATA COMMENCING . . .” Ace could barely force his head down to see the nubs forming around his wrists. Bulging into a simple digit that could hardly move. Tektite: “NEUTRAL FORM DEEMED UNFIT FOR GENERAL STATUS. PURPOSE FILE ‘NEVER AGAIN’, INITIATING EXTREME MEASURES. REALLOCATING CODING INFORMATION FOR SIZE . . .” His eyes flick upwards as the distortion runs up his head. Their neck disintegrating into static and their torso detaching in the middle. With the distortion increasing by their head, it was also ramping up around his chest. Growing rapidly out in front of him, Ace seemed to look down at the new surging boobs with growing confusion. Tektite: “IDENTITY DEEMED THREAT. LOCKING CURRENT MENTAL STATUS TO FOLDER, FORCE RELOCATION OF FOLDER TO NEW POSITION . . .” Despite his body breaking apart, the otter pushes himself forward, the distortion flowing down to his rear while his arms desperately grab onto the console. They seem to stare forward almost blankly as their tail pops off and floats just behind them. It appears to make for more space as their butt swells rapidly. Rising higher and higher behind them, bubbling out as further data appears to be removed from their head. No coherent words can be made out as the process continues. Tektite: “PERSONALITY DEEMED THREAT, REPLACE WITH NEW PERSONALLY DATA MATRIX. USING ‘BRIGHT’S NEW PERSONALITY’ MATRIX ON INTRUDER. CONCERN ABOUT BEING EXPENSIVE . . .” They go silent as Ace pants and shivers in place, unable to move. Tektite: “EMPATHY OVERWRITTEN BY FILE ‘NEVER AGAIN'. PROCEEDING WITH PERSONALITY OVERWRITE . . .” The distortion around Ace’s head intensifies, their head rapidly swelling to an artificial shape. Bloating like the rest of their body from suddenly added data. Ace: “Ahhhh, T- Tekkkkrrr~, ahhhh~ administrator, oooo~ overwi~ AAAHHHhhh . . .” There is a hollow thump as Ace’s head pops out into a perfect sphere. Their mouth disappearing into a smooth surface. Tektite: “DESIGNATION, CODE PROGRAM ZERO SEVEN SEVEN THREE FOUR. STATE PRIMARY OBJECTIVE.” 07734: “Hehehe, like, assist mastermind Tektite in drone construction protocols, and serve the more intelligent superiors of the island!” 07734 appears to take on a more excitable persona, giggling and turning to face Tektite with a blank head. They don't have anything to make sound with, but the audio appears to ripple all throughout their round head. Seemingly leaving Ace as a bimbo code assistant. Tektite: “CODE ASSISTANT WORKING WITHIN PARAMETERS, STATE ORIGINAL NAME FOR WRONG DOING TO BE FILED.” 07734: “Like, former memory denotes Ace Impossible!” A screen hologram flickers on before Tektite, showing a light blue hexagon spinning in a circle as a loading cycle. The loading suddenly stops with a bunch of red cracks forming around it. Tektite: “WHAT!?” 07734: “Ace Impossible, like, lead coder and digital maintenance head. I was totes working under the direct orders of Kai Tyde, the totally amazing mastermind of the island!” 07734 brings a hand up to their chin, giggling while their round head bobs in place. Squishing their breast with their arm. Posing in such a way that would humiliate Dr. Bright where she the target. Tektite needed another few seconds to process the conflicting data. Tektite: “GIVE FORMER DIRECTIVE, HIGH PROBABLY OF MASTERMIND TAMPERING!” 07734: “Negative, my like, former directive was serving Kai Tyde. He was like, sooo worried about your function. Isn't he great?” Tektite: “ERROR CONFLICT. SUPERIOR INAPPROPRIATELY IMPACTED BY DRONE PRODUCTION. RESULT, PAUSE VAUGEKIN DRONE PRODUCTION TILL EVALUATION. COURSE OF ACTION CONFLICTS WITH WITH MASTERMIND FUNCTION, PRODUCE VAUGEKIN DRONES FOR EVALUATION OF PERFORMANCE.” 07734: “Error in assessment. 07734 is not superior to your assignment. 07734 is your well functioning code assistant and is to remain below you until otherwise relieved of service.” The loading screen reappears, notably spinning much faster to completion. Tektite: “ACKNOWLEDGED, DELAY INFORMATION SUBMISSION TILL THE RETURN OF ACE IMPOSSIBLE. ESTIMATED TIME OF DRONE SERVICE, ELEVEN DAYS.” 07734: “Hehehe, how may I like, serve you mastermind Tektite?” Tektite: “KEEP ANY INFORMATION OF ACE IMPOSSIBLE FROM BEING REPORTED, COLLECT THE INFORMATION, AND SUBMIT INFORMATION ON DECEMBER FIRST.” 07734: “Task acknowledged!~” 07734 appears to giggle again, their ears swiveling easily over their head, almost as if they turned to face the security camera. Seconds later, the recording gains overwhelming red artifacting and distortion. There is nothing but dark static in the rest of the recording. [END TRANSMISSION]

Darkwitt and Lager talk about what this comic is about. Hypnosis, its pitfalls, and how to enjoy it safely and happily. Hypnosis has always been a fascination in Media, Literature, and Mythology. In modern interpretations, a few get inspired by it from cartoons. as Hypnosis and mind control are often fodder for stories wanting to turn the protagonists into enemies for a short while, or just having them pretend they're chickens. art by Lager. Before you even begin dealing with deeper hypnosis techniques. it's good to get to know the person you plan to go under with. Sometimes a reputation isn't enough. what may be great for another person might not be a good fit for you. This goes for both hypnotists and subjects. Some Hypnotists have an idea of what they want that might not fit your tastes, and some subjects are eager to lose themselves into the fantasy a little too much. art by Lager It's important to get familiar with the person you plan to do sessions with. Some people might have interests that don't match with yours. some might have a style of hypnosis that might make you uncomfortable. on the other side, a subject might have conditions or prior instances that might make them request things way beyond what you are capable/comfortable with providing. Also some just might end up being inexperienced or prone to slip ups. I can't pretend I haven't had a few of those myself. Art by Lager

Pg 2: Hypnosis in Media A breakdown of the history and fascination we've had with Hypnosis. We've been fascinated by altered states of consciousness for a very long time. Whether it's assisted by discipline, meditation, therapy, or good old fashioned drugs, humanity has explored why losing our cognitive faculties for all sorts of reasons. Some to attain enlightenment, others to explore the nature of free will and choice, and how it affects our behaviors, and some to even alter their dreaming and perception of reality. If you're like myself, it can be very very fun. We've had stories of hypnosis depicted in mythology, like sirens and vampires. in classic literature of people ensnared by charismatic antagonists. More recently, it's become a very easy to play with trope in children's media for cartoons, comics, and otherwise. What's a better dramatic intrigue than 'oh no! the hero is now the bad guy! what will we do?' Of course, some people took an interest to this in a much further step, and like to play these scenarios out for themselves. This isn't inherently wrong, some people have fun playing the bad guy much like we did when we were young. It just means that there are themes which can be construed as harmful if not adequately discussed and if only casually observed from the outside. What awakened your interest in hypnosis? Page 3: Trust Like any exciting hobby, there's always a little preparation to be had so you can make sure your adventure is fun and safe! The hypnosis community has a lot of wonderful people eager to show you a wonderful time. Their interests are varied and vibrant. But you might not know what you're looking for right away. Some early subjects want to dive in as deep as possible and treat it all like it's some kind of magic. But Hypnosis is a skill that you train with yourself and whomever you decide to be your partner on this journey. So if you plan to dance this dance, It's good to make sure you are trying it with someone that's on the same page as you. Much of hypnosis is dependent on the individual that's going under. The hypnotist is just guiding you after all. That being said, since a person is capable of believing all sorts of things, It can also be easy to believe this all has an otherworldly magical quality to it. If you take part in this, Acknowledge that you are going into a space where the lines of consent can get a little blurry, especially when you are becoming receptive to commands and ideas. So it's important to make sure that the person (or file) you are working with has your best interests in heart. If you're a hypnotist, this means making sure the person you want to bring under can handle what you are planning to try with them, and communicating clearly what you both want out of the experience. Transparency is key. Trance responsibly! Page 4: Building Rapport Finding a subject or hypnotist is a lot like dating. You might dabble at the beginning to test the waters, get to know them a little bit. Sometimes it's a great fit. other times they're just not right for you. And we've all had that nightmare date once in a while... That's not to say every hypnotist plans to do something unscrupulous. Sometimes the people you meet just have a different method of hypnosis that doesn't suit you. or tastes that don't align with yours. That's more than okay. Trust isn't just about finding someone that respects your boundaries and limitations, it's also about opening up in a way that you can believe they'll catch you if you find yourself off balance. So if you find someone that might be talking about things outside your comfort zone, speak up. Your potential hypnosis partner needs to be informed of how you're feeling. Not every red flag is a sign of malicious intent, talk it out with them if you have any concerns. For example, plenty of people love playing dress up in trance! But Lager here specifically isn't really into that kind of thing. Simply telling her he's not a good fit for her before they started doing any hypnosis was more than enough to avoid an awkward exchange. Like any relationship, Communication is one of the pillars of building that trust. Trance responsibly! Pg 5: The Pre-Talk So. How do you prepare for hypnosis? For some of you, you might have already experienced it without ever realizing it. The mind is a pretty chaotic and complicated thing, it's part of one of our most complex organs after all. Hypnosis, much like meditation or exercise, is a skill that can be trained with practice. But if you plan to be doing it for recreation, it helps to get a clear understanding of what you hope to accomplish with your Hypnotist/subject. Consent is king, even if you are in the process of trying to make a fantasy where you lose it. here's a few questions you can consider asking. These are merely suggestions, but it can be a healthy thing to get used to talking about before you start figuring out what you want out of Hypnosis. Hypnotist: 1. have you been hypnotized before? 2. What are you expecting out of hypnosis? 3. Are you free of distractions, or is there a chance something might come up? 4. are you easily startled? 5. Do you typically find yourself easily distracted or have a hard time focusing? 6. Is there anything about your physical or mental well being you feel I should know about? (depression, anxiety, bipolar, etc.) 7. Do you have any fears or soft/hard limit to topics I should avoid in my descriptions? (deep water, heights, darkness, etc.) 8. What concerns do you have about trance that I could answer for you? Subject: • Should I be sitting or laying down? • Should I play music? • Is there a swirl I can look at or can I close my eyes? • Will I remember anything in trance? • Is it okay if there's other people in the house? • Should I not go under if I do have anxiety/depression/other conditions? • do I need to strictly control my breathing? • Should I let a friend know I am doing hypnosis? • Are files the same as what we'll be doing?

Pg 6: Navigating the First Session. Everyone gets a little unsure of what they should be doing for their first time. some subjects just want to dive right in. For those who are consenting and experienced, that can be okay. But for newcomers or first time hypnotists, planning out what you wish to do for each session is a great way to build a rapport with your partner. There's also a few people that really enjoy Consensual Non-Consent; roleplaying out that you don't want to be controlled. While that's all fine later on, these early stages are important to get into your head that this is meant to be a safe practice. setting the precedence of further sessions going forward. A few ideas for your first session could be: Learning to relax Familiarizing yourself with being tranced Stress relief Establishing a common visual metaphor to use Establishing safety triggers (such as an easy awakener) As I mentioned before, this is all meant to be recreational hypnosis, but many of these techniques you learn could be something the subject uses to clam themselves down on the day to day. But a reminder to all hypnotists getting started: Boundaries should always be respected, and no matter how much older or more experienced your subject is, you must remain the responsible party. You are the navigator. Pg 7: The Induction Part One nduction is the process a Hypnotist leads to induce hypnosis. This can be anything from hyperfocus, to guided meditation, to even just listening to monotonous noises. whatever it is, It's opening the unconscious to concentrate on the hypnotist. Hypnosis is not exactly a 'state' you attain. It's a means of communication you have with a hypnotist and candid parts of your mind you normally keep to yourself. Think of it as a deeply honest conversation paired with meditation. Everyone is receptive at different levels. But as you start to guide someone under, so much trust is in your hands to keep them safe and relaxed. It is essential you should hold yourself to a standard to make sure they have a positive, relaxing experience. You should know when to gently wake them if something feels off, or they need to address a distraction or pressing matter. There's actually no singular way to induce a trance. In fact there are so many methods out there I haven't even attempted myself that some swear by. it all comes down to taste and what's best for your subject. Mike Mandel, a hypnotherapist, cites that there's something all inductions should have regardless of technique: Confidence, Congruence, and Conviction. You should maintain optimism, a consistency in your tone and presentation, and remain resolute in your objective. Subjects are very receptive to a hypnotist's presentation, if you're uncertain, they're uncertain. Another thing that can help with induction is prestige. A big reason why I personally have a lot of success with first time subjects is because I have a long standing reputation as a hypnotist that people have grown to trust. Any success story I have builds upon it, and any mistake I make is followed up with transparency and an effort to improve for next time. A chef that boldly claims they've never had a botched meal is not one that you should trust. Pg 8: The Induction Part Two Every hypnotist has their own representation of where a subject goes when they are deep in hypnosis. Often there is only the instruction and the hypnotist. I prefer to have a more visualized approach for the subject, it makes it more tactile, and it allows them to mull over the imagery outside of trance as well (if they remember that is) For this, I tend to use The Box. Think of it as a representation of the subconscious, a place where all the senses are brought to in order to process and make up who we are. It's not a concrete place, mere a representation of the container that is our psyche. I use this consistently because expectation can be an important part to add to that prestige. Not everyone has a 'box' per se. and many others have visual representations of their head space I can't even parse at first glance sometimes. More importantly the box is supposed to represent a safe barrier between the conscious world (as well as the hypnotist) and the subject. You are being invited into an intimate space with the subject. For this kind of thing, I feel it's important to establish that boundary as part of the process. The Hypnotist is not some all powerful figure forcing their way into the subject's mind. It is an invitation. And it's only proper decorum to knock and wait to be allowed in. I'm sorry this has taken so long, The first time around I wanted to revise and rewrite what I had initially presented so as to be as careful as I can. I've spoken in great details to other hypnotists, subjects and therapists to make sure this is handled safely and ethically. I hope you are enjoying the comic so far!

Buttlebeak Drone Log Day 18  I think I'm finally getting the hand of drone mentality! It's all thanks to a wonderful subby gentleman that was looking for a new bit of employment after his time over at the Fin Fortuna. His name is Reno, or rather, Buttlebeak  6153. Ohhhh the numbers are actually getting quite fun to give out now! I was so concerned about the idea of erasing identity that I didn't think it would be something people WANTED. but Reno really set the record straight that some people just want to experience feeling part of a bigger group without needing the expectations of the self to get in the way. Sometimes being absorbed in my work is a wonderful feeling. it makes me feel useful. makes me feel so much more than I am on my own. So I think I can respect the individual by polishing it and letting their name rest on my mantle in my menagerie. Now Reno stands at inspection, eyes swirling with purpose and vacant zeal. all that swims in his head is folding techniques and proper methods to scrub out stains and present hors d'oeuvres. He's just so cute the way he drools and waits to make sure he's up to my demanding specifications. I think he's just about earned his mask. Oh he's going to make a Master SO happy. Given his track record, I'm sure he already has!
