When my mom passed away last year I took a few of these ornaments from my childhood and then when my MIL passed in April I had the opportunity to obtain 2 boxes of them. The ones from my childhood are wrapped in newspaper dated Dec 31, 1963.

I love old signs. I can’t quite get this one to look the way I want, but I still dig it.

Back in the 50’s my dad apparently loved posing with his cars. The person I knew growing up was an alcoholic and not always a nice guy. Wish I could have known the person he was in the photos.

In 2019 my wife’s family ( her mom, siblings and spouses ) spent 4 days together in Tampa, Florida. It is a precious memory for me as it will never happen again.

I love palm trees and love the desert. This was taken back in 2021 in Mesa, Arizona during a family reunion trip. For some reason we thought July would be the perfect time of year to visit there.

My yard makes me smile .

Grief has affected me in ways I never imagined it would. Simple things like seeing 2 bees on the flowers in my yard bring me some of the joy I crave.

I took these photos in the backyard of my mother in law. She passed away yesterday but I took a moment to capture some of the beauty of her yard that she loved so much. Losing my mom last July and now my wife’s mom ,has been beyond difficult.

Not a creative image, but to me there’s not many things more beautiful than summer and fresh peaches.

I like dabbling in abstract photography. This image was taken looking down at the curb and gutter of my old work. The blue is brick and the right side is water pooled by the curb.

Old city directories are fascinating. I’ve tracked down where my ancestors lived and even found the bicycle shop my great grandfather owned in Torrance in the 1920s ( see listing for ‘Leech, Charles F’ below)

There is Denver Rio Grande freight depot in Ogden, Utah (where I work) that is in the same sad condition. We’re hoping that someone can save it and reuse it in restored glory.
