My favorite part of the campaign trail is getting out to meet voters, and I had an opportunity to do just that yesterday in Pound Ridge. Thank you to our gracious hosts for hosting a meet and greet, and thank you to all the attendees for giving me the opportunity to do just that.

The battle to restore critical ACA subsidies must continue. Skyrocketing premiums will leave tens of millions of Americas uninsured, and cause even more medical bankruptcies.

Putnam County had actively made strides towards flipping seats, and getting more Democratic voters out to the polls. There was a 68% win rate this cycle, with 11 out of 18 candidates winning.

Once again, the party elites let down the people they represent. Eight Democratic Senators decided to vote to reopen the government without a guarantee that ACA subsidies would be funded. I’m not surprised, but I’m disappointed.

Each of these gentleman risked the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our nation and our values.
On this Veterans Day, we salute all who served so honorably.

Last week was another great Abundance Tour event in Putnam Valley. We had an intriguing conversation about different ways the federal government can be a partner in bringing a diversity of housing to our local communities, and what that can look like to create sustainable change.
