Films, food, politics and sarcasm. H. L. Mencken saw it all 100 years ago.
The BBC must be spectacularly dim to make that edit after the audience for the lecture heard the original and think a) it's not going to be noticed & b) audience members wouldn't comment.

In Lincolnshire, the council leader has said that top salaries (which are supposed to attract the best people) cost too much but paying £50k to work for #Lincolnshire wouldn't bring in the best people.
They're all mad.

Never had "Labour: Making Britain racist & xenophobic again" on my bingo card for 2025, but here we are.

Not a word in that report to indicate that what Panorama reported was true...Razzall is as bad as the rest.

Can Ian Hislop take over, please?
November 9, 2025 at 7:12 PM
If ITV is taken over by Sky, this will mean BBC follows if the wrong replacements are appointed. Likely be a whole tsunami of licence cancellations & public service broadcasting in the UK will disappear by the end of the decade. Murdoch's wet dream. Can't see Nandy standing up to anyone.

And the public criticism ain't going away...

Sorry - BAD typo there. *Same* not sane.

Sorry - busy yesterday, so only just got round to your comment. He's certainly tainting Charles' authority as HoS. We saw the reaction when he was challenged y/day by a member of the public & imo, the more the public voice their concerns, the quicker the authorities will be forced to act.
October 28, 2025 at 10:05 AM
Yes, but it's ridiculous that Parliament should have to spend more time discussing it. The police should be up his arse now, whether he's in the Royal Family or not, & if there's a credible case, he should be prosecuted.

What a waste of Parliamentary time.
