Went to a book fair for remaindered books and got a few for me an a haul for my classroom. (Left are mine)

Last month’s chastisement from the overlords that I have innapropriate books made me nervous but I stuck to my guns and bought what I thought the kids would connect with.

I spent time, as a kid, living near remains of the Japanese Internment camp, Manzanar. If you don’t know this ugly bit of US history, it’s worth noting. These days, it’s a Nat’l Historic site.
