Such a remarkable person! If anyone wants to know more about Émilie du Châtelet, I really recommend Robyn Arianrhod’s book "Seduced by Logic” (OUP, 2012). Very compelling while also rigorous, and filled with delightful anecdotes about Voltaire and Émilie writing and performing plays in their garden!
