Turning 40 hasn’t been bad so far. Feeling happy with my new haircut. Started reading a book from an author my Nan suggested (so far so good!). Started rebuilding the Friends Central Perk lego. Having a glass of wine for the start of my date night with the partner, going to see 7 Days Live later 😊

I keep trying to gather my hair and sweep it down one side of me.

But I finally got rid of the split ends that have been bugging me for months!

Maybe I should get haircuts more often that nearly every 2 years 😂

The sweetness of my colleagues continued today with cake to eat during our team meeting to celebrate.

It’s making my partner feel like he’s not doing enough though 😂 I did tell him he has my actual birthday tomorrow to make up for that 😂

Aw, one of the Library Assistants who used to report to me, gave me a block of chocolate and wrote the sweetest message ever in a birthday card for me ❤️

I absolutely adore the necklace I wear. It was my uni graduation present from my Mum. Represents my Irish heritage and has my birth stone.

A bake sale was organised at work to collect donations for the Little Miracles Trust as its world prematurity day.

It’s an organisation close to my heart due to the support they gave me when my son was in NICU.

I have a budgie named Atlas (although I think I just call him budge more 😂)

Now that I’ve worked out my finances, I’ve made my pledge!

Couldn’t pass up on the signed Siouxsie/Toby covid graphic. I absolutely loved these. They made it so easy to understand what we needed to know. We printed out so many and put them up at work. Some are still up on the wall!

Took the 7yo to his first Phoenix game…

He lasted the 1st half then got distracted with the activities on inside the stadium

So he saw Brisbane score and missed both of the Phoenix ones 😂

But he still said he enjoyed it

I’m surprised that the sun has come out given the rain we had this morning

And the coffee cart is here, with super cute unicorn cupcakes. I just had to get one

Partner is distracting the 7yo by continuing to build his fort.

So I’m finally unpacking some of my personal stuff in my bedroom.

So glad to have some of my fav things back together beside my bed ❤️
