Bigotry makes a lot more sense than voting for a sexual predator because he’s the only one you think will hold sexual predators accountable. That’s not reasonable on any level.

Why would he give you hope? Was it him bragging about sexual assault? Was it him being found civilly liable of sexual assault? Was it the more than 2 dozen other women that credibly accused him? Was it him not actually saying he would release the Epstein files?

Some of the senators involved were democrats before the 1960s, and participated in the filibuster as democrats. Every state they represented became reliably red after the civil rights act was passed.

There is no federal law outside the ucmj, or if it involves interstate transport of the children.
Most of this is dealt with at the state level, where the rules vary pretty heavily.

I personally can’t do woody Allen, though I thought his story lines were a bit annoying and a bit too on the nose, anyways… but generally I’m in agreement with the premise there’s a line, we just all have slightly different places we draw the line. I can respect that.

I was earlier typing but then deleted some war propaganda type movies that get your juices flowing but generally in the wrong hoo-rah “patriotic” fashion that generally leads to support of some questionable national security choices, but there’s a handful that are essentially guilty pleasures.

I get that it can be entertaining and the acting can be good, I can even get how it can be cathartic to see the evil antagonists punished
I’m just more in line with airwolf that there’s an undercurrent in that piece in particular that does more harm than good regarding the main topic of the movie
