OSSE's enrollment audit for school year 2024-25 is now available, showing a ~1% total increase.

By grade band:
- PK is down 1.7%
- Elementary is up 0.4%
- Middle is up 2.1%
- HIgh is up 2.2%
- Adult and alternative is up 2.4%

By sector:
- Total is up 0.9%
- DCPS is up 1.3%
- Charters are up 0.5%

🔎 What factors are related to math performance for D.C.’s 4th grade students in 2024? NAEP offers comparisons of students in the 25th and 75th percentiles that start to tell part of the story. Differences that are statistically significant for these groups are noted below.

✴️ D.C. improved in 4th grade math by moving students forward who are at both ends of the achievement distribution: The share of 4th grade students in D.C. who are “below basic” has decreased by 8 percentage points since 2022, and the share who are "advanced" has increased by 5 percentage points.
