A representative from the Fayetteville Public Works Commission spoke against adopting the regulations, arguing federal drinking water standards are already stringent enough

Public hearings on proposed PFAS groundwater standards continue today in Wilmington, starting at 6 pm. The final hearing is tomorrow in Raleigh. I’ll be there tomorrow and will bring y’all updates then

This part of the article especially sticks out to me. The whitewashed version of the history of Thanksgiving perpetuates the oppression and erasure of our Native brothers and sisters. Let’s remember we live on stolen land. Let’s remember to honor our Native communities today (and everyday)
