North Carolina's second land-based wind farm opens for business in Chowan County
Timbermill Wind in Chowan County includes 45 turbines spread out across more than 6,000 acres. The project is expected to produce clean energy and provide an economic boom to the region.

Busy day at the NC Leg. Republicans moved to strip even more power from the governor, a Democrat, by moving the Board of Elections appointments to the state Auditor's office - an incoming Republican. That would mean board of elections will have 3 Repubs and 2 Dems instead of the other way around
