The ECtHR Grand Chamber held that sanctioning a judge for FB posts violated his freedom of expression. MD submitted an amicus in the case, noting the importance of judges engaging with the press on matters of public interest. Read our comments here:

Le Fonds pour une presse libre et l’ONG internationale Media Defence s’associent pour créer « Ripostes », un fonds d’aide juridique pour la presse indépendante. Il s’agit de contrer les attaques des politiques et des entreprises contre la presse indépendante. Et faire en sorte que la peur change de camp en faisant condamner ces procédures abusives.
