One of those events I still remember was where I was. In this case, I was home from school due to the cold, which in those days in Pennsylvania was very rare.

On a cold morning, the Space Shuttle Challenger broke apart at 11:39 am EST, 73 seconds after liftoff from the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral, Florida. Starting in the 20s, the ground temperature at liftoff was 36 degrees.

Just so you know, the last time we had a 6”+ daily snow total in northern Cecil County was on March 22, 2018, with 9.4” of snow.
