I've been enjoying the Dungeon Crawler Carl series of books by Matt Dinniman. The way he interacts with his fans/readers shares commonalities with how @emollick.bsky.social interacts with his audience... admittedly this might also just be me talking about DCC.

I , as you might imagine, have thoughts about the shitshow that is doge and the fed.... though I pollute my thoughts with reminisces (how many plural s' or i's do I add to this word?) of my early career.

As you might expect, I've been up LCC. I donated to the patrol fund two or three years ago after a whoopsie that dislocated my right shoulder. They were terrific . I'm really glad Vail came to their senses, though all of this could have been avoided literally years ago.
The Park City ski patrol strike is over. The workers got every major item they wanted from Vail Resorts.

-Starting wages up by $2/hr.

-Senior workers get pay raised by as much as $7.75/hr.

-Better parental leave and professional development.

-A better wage scale and more.

I own my own pizza delivery bag. It's wonderful for getting takeout or bringing kugel or mac and cheese to a potluck. I love being able to keep my food hot and pizza places always seem to think it's cool that I have it.

I dunno, I mean, looking at the diaspora from the Kelvin, the idea that 800 people fit in the shuttles and such from that ship seems .... Excessive beyond truth.

I know this come will come as a complete shock to everyone but guess who has two thumbs and contracted COVID from a funeral in Florida. (Me, I have two thumbs and contracted COVID from a funeral with some anti-vax folks in attendance).

Dammit.

What, a weather delay for an afternoon (now night) United flight out of Dulles for a funeral? Quelle surprise.

Seriously this is like the third funeral that a delayed Dulles flight has featured prominently. Did I build in time for it, as I expected it to happen again? Yup.
