Hands off child care! A child care funding freeze would destabilize an already fragile child care system, and put millions of families and children at risk.

Fantastic news! This victory means that funding to providers and services to families will not be disrupted for the duration of the lawsuit, or unless a higher court intervenes.

Nobody should live in fear of harassment. Somali child care providers are pillars of our communities who provide quality care for working families. We won't stand for this unwarranted harassment targeting our members.

Childcare Providers Around the Country Are Being Targeted by Vigilante Surveillance
In response to bogus allegations of fraud in Minnesota, strangers are filming them, knocking on their doors, demanding to be let in. It’s scaring parents and costing providers.

Child care is rooted in Black history. Black and Brown women were some of the first child care providers and continue to make up the majority of the workforce, but we are still undervalued and underpaid.

We need to get paid for the full cost of care NOW and will not back down in our fight.

Child care providers are filling transportation gaps for California's working families. Without us, parents who work long or early hours, like truck drivers and farm workers, wouldn't be able take their kids to school or pick them up after work.

What does fair pay for child care providers look like?

👉 Pay that covers the true cost of care
👉 Pay that is on time
👉 Pay that is consistent!

Child care providers are standing together to call on our courts to REJECT the federal government's threats to freeze child care funding. This unlawful funding freeze will cause severe harm to the communities we serve, including low-income and single-parents!

Defunding child care is an attack on child care providers and working families. 🚨 Child care providers are joining hands with @democracyforward.org to challenge the politically driven attack on child care and family assistance that will harm our communities and the families we serve.
BREAKING: We're suing to stop the Trump-Vance admin's unlawful, politically-driven attempt to freeze $10B in child care funding across 5 states.

The admin's weaponization of gov funds threatens the lives and livelihoods of families, children, and providers.

We're pushing back in court.

Without affordable child care, many working parents would be squeezed out of the workforce. Strong communities rely on fair pay for quality child care.

We don't have to imagine this @gavinnewsom.bsky.social because California has been paying us less than $7.25 an hour for DECADES. IT'S time to pay us for the FULL cost of providing care so we can keep our doors open for California's working families.

In remembrance of Martin Luther King Jr., we look to his wisdom for inspiration and his dedication to organizing for encouragement. It takes time and perseverance to change systems, but we know that when we show up united as one voice, we can overcome even the greatest hurdles.

We heard 2016 is trending 👀 Ten years ago we were still fighting to form our union! Flash forward to 2026 and we’re standing strong together to ensure providers are paid the true cost of care.

Our fight brings us into community and we stand hand in hand as we push forward to winning fair pay for the hours we spend caring for our communities.

We’ll continue fighting to protect access to care for working families — no politically, racist fueled attacks can stop us. ✊
NEW: It took a federal judge less than 24 hours to shut down Trump’s politically motivated child care cuts in California.

CA must continue to build on our progress to ensure access to child care is protected! We look forward to working with the @cawomenscaucus.bsky.social, legislative leaders, and Governor @gavinnewsom.bsky.social to protect access to quality affordable child care for working families.

Child care providers stand with @agrobbonta.oag.ca.gov to protect families and workers against blatant attacks on affordable child care! We'll fight to ensure that California families do not lose access to care and for the safety of providers and the children they care for.
Trump’s attacks on hard-working women of color who provide child care are attacks on all working people. We know safe & reliable care empowers workers to earn a living and provide for their families.

We support AG Rob Bonta challenging these attacks on workers.

We won't stand for threats against child care providers and the families we serve. Access to affordable quality child care is essential to keep parents in their jobs and to give kids quality early learning opportunities.
Donald Trump plans to illegally cut all federal funding for child care, throwing parents into disarray and forcing them to choose between going to work or taking care of their children.

California invests in our children and families. We will not let them fall behind.

Threatening to freeze federal child care funding and overturning stabilization policies, along with harassment of providers of Somali descent in Minnesota and beyond, are direct threats on working families of all backgrounds who rely on access to quality, affordable child care.
