this was also true for CAVE and others, IIRC; Battle Garegga really inspired a lot of games to take the danmaku approach

What do you know, I just happen to still have my old drawing of Kururin! The 2023 drawing still looks good to be honest. I think it helps that Kururin is simple to draw, though I do prefer the right drawing than the left. It has more depth to it and pizzazz.

A new drawing of another one of Nintendo's underrated games. This is Kururin from Kuru Kuru Kururin. Very interesting and charming series of games I find. Easiest drawing I made ever, only took 4 hours to draw. Wished all drawings were like that.
