visual aid (i've ordered good, forged-metal tools from these guys, they have offered various types of broad axe in the past, though, being Finnish, they have opinions on the war in Ukraine which differ from my own; i don't buy from them anymore, but that's just my own personal/political feelings)

this vibes with my thoughts on Norse sagas. How do i valorize stuff which has been appropriated by racists? In the sagas, there's lots of viking-on-viking crime. If you had beef with a viking (because he's racist for example) you can always rip out his lungs & leave his corpse as a sacrifice to Odin

yep, it would have to be part of the story. Or maybe, for example, a character wouldn't mind a more "clocky" (arguably intriguing, because challenging to cis gaze) gender expression. In other news, im getting a pleasant vision of Graham Linnehan being brutally dismembered via "bearded" axe

what the heck was that?! some kind of inadequately-explained Apotheosis just happened! Frustrating! but this whole movie feels unique, refreshingly unlike anything else i've seen that i can think of. It was cool seeing this after almost 30 years(?!?!) now that i have the critical chops to analyze it
