Oh yeah, because they’re prioritizing one part of the government over the others. Imagine being the CDC, under attack, not getting paid, and the assholes invading cities and trampling the constitution get paid.

Specifically that I thought the film was going to be gross based on gut instinct. I had no substantial arguments, just a sinking feeling.

My friend said I was being judgemental based on the trailer. That accusing the film of being icky about black women without seeing it was messed up. I stood my ground. I don’t know if that friend saw it.

I think a dual pronged approach is good. Some people are justifying the environmental impact with how essential it is. I think it’s wise to remind people that not only does it destroy the environment, it’s for a product that can’t compete with work already being done.

I saw the trailer and felt icky. Someone called me out for feeling the ick and not seeing the film. Thank you for letting me know my instincts did not fail me.
