Then there's the beautifully rendered/colored Field of Daisies (featured prominently on the cover here). Feels safe, right?

UNTIL.. you meet Daisy Eyes and then quietly close the book, flip to the cover and scour the field to see if Keezy has hidden them there and this whole time I didn't know it.

The title, written in happy cursive on the cover, invokes warmth, comfort, maybe some nostalgia... UNTIL IT APPEARS IN THE STORY for the first time (and honestly the second time, as well, who are we kidding here). I got creepified and yes, crawlified, by it.
