Really enjoying the relative absence of discourse on Bluesky compared to other sites. I took a long break from social media the past few months and that was great; it's nice to come back to a place that doesn't feel like a trash fire.

I'm sure part of this is just who I follow, y'all are great :)

Strong desire to paint islands and lighthouses lately

I think some artists see design as a lesser path because they see it as too utilitarian, and some designers see art as a lesser path because they feel it lacks utility. But the two disciplines need each other to function. Beauty and utility are both important, and even better together.
