That said, the lane is beautiful, it had been cleared of leaves, the loop detectors picked me up, & the connections to The Pearl were so easy.

I think it is the "you should wear brighter clothing while cycling" comment that I can't shake. So Much Othering.

In the summer I do a lot of neighborhood riding helmet-less. But I noticed that I wear it all the time once the leaves start to fall - the bikeways make me really unsure of the surface stability!

Perspectives are so interesting. I regularly ride on that stretch of Division because I now live only a few blocks away. And frequent all of those businesses (including Beer Mongers!). :)

Yes the not calling is very consistent, which is really great. But wowza the knock down at minute 47 was totally on purpose to stop the run and was a non call and, well, sports are still played by humans and here we are. :)

This is really interesting to me. I would be curious if PBOT is just targeting the street seating installed in 2020/2021 because there’s a lot of legacy street seating that was in car parking spots in Sellwood pre-pandemic that are all still there. Maybe it’s only a matter of time :(

I have a theory, based on watching my spouse struggle to navigate zoom and Google meet. He worked OTH through the whole pandemic (& after). This tech has never been part of his daily life. & I feel the folks who still struggle with this "basic tool" were either retired in 2020 or not working.

I can only agree with this statement. Except for the Thorns. They don't suck.

Oh don't get me started on how our whole public transportation system is designed around the White Male downtown worker (I wrote my PSU transportation class report on that topic)

But maybe, just maybe they were competing against the NWSL and now they won’t? One can dream…..
