Some LLMs identify the instructions as a way to detect cheating and warn/chastise the user, and tell them how they can do it themselves instead. Not what I was going for but probably still effective 😉

I have very specific instructions on what to do when applying on my website and don't consider anyone who doesn't follow the instructions carefully. There is also a secret prompt in those instructions that tells the LLM to inject a signal I can detect. Those also go in the bin.
