Do we know Sluggo’s birthday? If the teacher is 24, that places her around 1915 and Sluggo would be 40 in 1979 (really stop and think about that), so, given, maybe Sluggo is 10 (?) that means he was born in 1929?

Yes, the can mirror the script, they can get the quips, but can they capture the physical comedy or scenarios the series is beloved for? I think that is where it falls down.

Got to be blunt - these are just not funny and do not capture the series tone at all. If you replaced the names there’s nothing there that would clue you in to it being ILL. Desi’s accent really informed his delivery and timing on the show and it’s missing here and just reads flat. The art is good.

Delay did kill this. Coming back in with just the name TRON and a dull cast and characters any real momentum was lost. The film simply avoided a majority of the complex questions the story kept trying to bring up. It was just so flat…
