This conversation is one that is far too long to have in a single blue sky thread, I don't even feel like attempting it because of how nuanced it needs to be. However, I look at games coming out being labeled as having "gambling mechanics" and think if we actually know what that means.

I have seen articles and comments range from legitimate concerns of normalization of gambling culture to stuff that is like "the game feels yucky because I'm gambling" and I look at the game being mentioned and it's just Fair Random Chance.
