The great thing about the Spectrum is that is was affordable. Growing up in the 80's my parents were not well off, they couldn't have afforded a C64 or the like, but they knew that going forward it would be an advantage for their kids to know how to use computers and they could afford a Spectrum.

Taking breaks every so often is important. Maybe if your aim is to make 1-2 a week you could continue that aim but only publish one, at least for a while, and build up a little buffer allowing you to take a week off when you want to and still put out a page.
