I assume they used the same sculptor as that bust of Christiano Ronaldo.

Forget to take a pic before eating but plenty for leftovermass dinner tomorrow :)
Serving dishes of turkey, sausagemeat stuffing, gammon, pigs in blankets, Yorkshire pudding, nut roast, vegetarian pigs in blankets, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, roast carrots, mashed potato, broccoli, cauliflower, peas and jugs of turkey gravy and vegetarian gravy all covered in cling film.

Compulsory festive meat product 2 now prepared (sausagemeat stuffing).

#3 (Gammon) just came out but was wrapped up before I remembered to take a pic.

Pigs in blankets and stuffing will go in this afternoon, so only the turkey and roast potatoes will need the oven tomorrow.
A large and small loaf tin filled with home made sausagemeat stuffing ready to go in the oven.

(I'm preparing and cooking things today that will keep until tomorrow so my mother can have a more relaxed Christmas day).
Three Swiss roll tins filled with rows of pigs in blankets (chipolata sausages wrapped in bacon), chipolatas and rolls of bacon.

It's that time of year.

Well I wouldn't call it warm but the weather has definitely brightened up over the weekend. Felt like getting out of the house so took a trip to St Mary's island.
View over the top of a low cliff and across a fairly flat grey sea towards a town visible in the haze a few miles across a bay. The wind making the long grass lean over towards the sea and little ribbons of white are visible on the crests of a few small waves. Overhead the sky is covered in hazy streaks of white and grey cloud. View from the top of a low headland over a short cliff towards a small rocky island. Most of the island is taken up by a tall round white lighthouse and a couple of small cottages standing out brightly against a blueish grey sky. A line of tall, thin offshore wind turbines stand out against the horizon while white tipped waves break on the rocks of the island which is currently connected to the headland by a strip of dark brown and black rocks on which is a narrow concrete road. The rocks and road usually covered by the sea and currently visible due to it being low tide.
