Devoured this book in 3 days. Excellent narrative storytelling following several families, with data and stats interwoven. Extremely timely with current SNAP events and talk of affordability.

A little fiction break, and now back to some non-fiction. I read and enjoyed Icebound by @andreapitzer.bsky.social … I’m not sure “enjoy” will be the right word for this book about such a dark topic, but I believe I’ll learn plenty.

I really do love my city. Never thought I’d end up staying here as long as I have, but it has a lot of beauty and greatness… if one knows where to look.

70 pages in and hooked. Great writing, weaving together storytelling and weather/climate data. Looking forward to all his books. For a weather nerd with a penchant for shipwreck stories (read every book I could find on the Endurance), I’m enjoying this even more than expected. #booksky

Kansas City Public Library central branch. Needed to grab a book from there, and was pleasantly surprised by the performance happening. Grateful for public libraries.

Did she… our education secretary… just refer to AI as A-1? Like the steak sauce? (Not to mention AI for pre-k students?)

Over-zealous, under-hydrated… but gotta do something to manage the stress of…everything! If nothing else, 4 miles on the trail should help me sleep tonight.
