This is classic "yellow union" speak from Portland Patrol Inc. Owner William Guidice. He opposes workers choosing their own union, but says he supports "self unionizing."

What he wants is a union run by the boss, so PPI can look better in grant bids without offering any better conditions or pay.

My favorite movies from 2025, was lucky enough to see some really incredible Latin American films in CDMX.

Also some older movies and books I loved that I saw/read for the first time this year and my thoughts on working in PreK these past few months for Derange. www.derange.co/p/the-pulpit...

Striking baristas and community supporters shutdown the 172nd Damascus, OR Starbucks on a cold Saturday morning a week into Starbucks Workers United’s nationwide strike. Management has tried to run a skeleton crew of GMs and workers recently fired when Starbucks permanently closed a local store.

Missed breakaway dunks aside, the blazers should be losing by 30 with this shooting night

The Blazers got blown out. What better way to spend a night at the stadium than to Remember Some Guys?
Here’s some fans vintage jerseys:
1. Anael Jeannis in a Damon Stoudamire
2. Noah in a (signed) Greg Oden
3. Bryan in a Brian Grant
4. Oz in a Joel Przybilla

This ideal sports watching environment led me to finding out about the Cavs broadcast putting “the diff” above the score because they think the fine people of Cleveland are to stupid to know they’re up 6 when it’s 96-90.

Fit check for NBA opening night.
I’m going to see Blazers vs Timberwolves & I’m rooting for a good clean game. No funny business, no showboating, no hard fouls or carry overs. Just good clean fundamentals, bounce passes, triple threat stances, vertical defensive positioning, and sportsmanship.

I was in Oaxaca when federal agents invaded Los Angeles, where so many people from Yalalag lived or had family.

A surreal week with some of the nicest people I’ve ever met, people obviously not met with the same hospitality in the States.

I went to the mountains of Oaxaca 🇲🇽 for Yalalag’s Fiesta de San Antonio de Padua and saw how basketball brings together local indigenous communities every weekend. www.derange.co/p/basketball...

Just wrapped up the first(ish) Irving Park Labor Day Basketball Tournament. 8 teams from around the city raised over $700 for a basketball team in Oaxaca, Mexico 🇲🇽

Scottie’s Summers Squad took the final over Axle Moving.
