The amount of time that Online Western Leftists spend talking about North Korea in the year of 2025 is truly baffling. What world are you living in where you think this the political question that matters right now?

This is classic "yellow union" speak from Portland Patrol Inc. Owner William Guidice. He opposes workers choosing their own union, but says he supports "self unionizing."

What he wants is a union run by the boss, so PPI can look better in grant bids without offering any better conditions or pay.

New Seasons workers are getting a new contract (and a raise) for the holidays! It's been a real whirlwind reporting on this campaign for the past few years for @nwlaborpress.org but these workers stuck at the fight and really pulled off a big win.
New Seasons workers ratify their first union contract
Three years after a first union vote, New Seasons has a union contract that raises wages 6% to 16.5% and sets rules for humane scheduling.

Rip City Remix games are worth going to because you might see 7’2+ Yang Hansen try to take a charge on a fast break 1on1 vs some balding 6’1 guard that’s probably the most famous guy at a suburban LA Fitness

Update: with a 98% vote of approval, NSLU has ratified their first contract with New Seasons Market. The union has ended their call for a boycott and avoided a strike during the holiday season. Full story to come in @nwlaborpress.org
NSLU won a $19/hr starting wage for clerks, a massive win in the local grocery industry. Fred Meyer starts at around $17 & non-union New Seasons are at $18 (tho we will see if the company raises those stores). The two sides were FAR away on economics as late as Dec 4.

The power of a strike threat.
Inbox: New Seasons Labor Union and New Seasons have reached a tentative agreement on a new contract ahead of the union’s December Strike deadline. The TA was unanimously endorsed by the NSLU bargaining committee and endorsed by members attending an All Store meeting last night. Details to come.

My favorite movies from 2025, was lucky enough to see some really incredible Latin American films in CDMX.

Also some older movies and books I loved that I saw/read for the first time this year and my thoughts on working in PreK these past few months for Derange. www.derange.co/p/the-pulpit...

My latest from the picket lines of the Red Cup Rebellion at Starbucks. The strike has entered its fourth week and expanded to 120 stores across the country (9 in Oregon).
