Our agents don't really need state for skills. We find that they work just fine with frontmatter, I'm not sure why your experience has been so poor?

This has nothing to do with requests, and this is not synthesis. I want agents on timers because time is important to me, and I have found synthesis after N steps to be extremely difficult to use + often dangerous for the agent.
