Stop calling people entitled or spoiled, acknowledge that there are disconnects between policy, impact, and how people perceive that impact. Your job as a politician is to close those gaps but you need to start by actually listening.

An alternative frame would be to acknowledge that even if the economy is good that we understand that you might not be experiencing the benefits and so we're going to get together and make sure that everyone does. Are you frustrated or upset? Damn right. You should be on board too!
