A local antique shop is liquidating its store after the owner passed away in 2019. This illustration from 1978 feels particularly relevant once again, unfortunately. But it's also a nice reminder that people have been ridiculing the KKK and Nazis for at least the past 50 years. it ain't new, folks!

This is a great example of Apple's weirdness around producing their own shows. "Only Apple" would care about ensuring something like this is shot on an iPhone and the end result looks... kinda terrible? If you check the photographer's portfolio, it's definitely not a skill issue here.

my all-time favorite example- the Twin Peaks Pilot shot through a glass entry way in the sheriff's station and you can easily see David Lynch reflected.

The interesting part: episode 2, they had an actual sequence of folks removing the glass. I've always assumed it was to prevent more reflections

If you’re like me and haven’t developed film at home, the single tip I’d give that I didn’t see discussed anywhere- when we talk about film drying, it’s really about the emulsion re-hardening and not just about whether it’s still visibly wet. Let it dry and it will work out, even if it looks odd!

So *Witchqueen* came out a little over 3 years ago and I've just now realized that what is kinda the default color scheme for the throneworld is just... the solarized rainbow. Which is perfectly thematic. What an exceptional chapter of that game.

Look, we all know that reversal film that expired in 1963 is going to be almost impossible to use. But if you’ve got a reel of it for sale and you want to show that it hasn’t been used… and you open the canister… well it’s sure been used now

had a roll of film in my iiif for the last 12 months and I finished the roll today... just to find that the leader never quite got itself wrapped around the spool enough.

'memba when 9to5mac got a soft PR blast from Apple and the verge called it an enthusiast website and they got all mad about it because they're a hard hitting journal like the rest of them?

anyways, wonder why anyone would think they're an enthusiast site
