At first, I didn't set out to write much this month but i managed to outline and draft 11k words towards the end of this month. I'm pretty proud of that and i'm proud of the story that's taking shape.

South of Midnight is hands down the best game I played this year amd deserves all the love to its artists, writers, VA's, game devs etc. Probably one of the reasons I've looked for and read so much southern gothic/folklore novels since its release. *chefs kiss*

I haven't really participated in any November writing challenges cause I needed a break from writing. A creative reset and mental rest......and of course i got an idea for my draft last night and had to write that down 🤣

"When can I read it?" 🤣
The one piece of advice I saw the most about what to do when querying is write something else and i can see why. It feels good going back to an idea and writing the first draft. Doesnt have to be perfect, just words to page.

The entire process of foley in film and TV. I loved it before and love it even more now! It is a fascinating rabbit hole to find yourself in. Snow sounds using cornstarch? Birds flapping using a feather duster? Utterly fascinating.

Definitely and defiantly killed me because both are correct and spellcheck/grammar NEVER CAUGHT IT 🤣 Using the read aloud feature saved my life cause i'd listen to a sentence and just be so confused.

While querying BAIT, I've currently been doing research and drafting for a story set in early 2000's/Y2K era. Found this collage on Pintrest and its been the main image on my moodboard. Also doing research on a story inspired by iconic Jazz music of the past 👀

The main theme of my story is the song Comfortable by H.E.R. I used it as the basis for the main relationship in the story, but even then strip away the lyrics and just leave the music its a great steady song that covers the feel of what i wanted my story to be.
