Not the Greek muse, just a casual fan. I study the Third Reich. The demands to READ THEORY will continue until you have actually read Christopher Browning and Ian Kershaw.
Technically I think the beards are unmanly now, because "no beardos".

Trying to project his fantasies onto the United States will not bring back British greatness. It won't even make America great - quite the reverse. What makes Reform UK even more contemptible is that it doesn't realize this, nor the fact that it exists in the shadow of Trump and poorly imitates him.

The US ripped up the British Empire by the roots in the mid-20th century and never looked back, and Attenborough is living in denial of that reality because he dreams of a world where Britain is a major power rather than a backwater. But the Empire is gone, and the world is better for that fact.

To be totally fair, they aren't being paid huge sums, that's why it's 3rd worlders doing it rather than Americans - the monetization isn't enough to matter unless you're in a place with low cost of living.

separate from anything about the specific dumb shit the NSA was doing on Americans he also just happened to burn basically every collect capability the NSA had; Obama was effectively blind for most of his second term

40% of European growth is "being a tax haven due to a loophole."

I think there's a valid argument for sometime in the 21st century before Trump, though medicine, renewable energy, and certain conveniences (Google Maps, online delivery, and work from home) have advanced a lot since then.

Yes, and the same way true of the German far right in general. It's true that in a sense the Depression made the Third Reich possible - their breakout year was 1930, after all. But the thing that motivated plenty of Nazis was not inequality or economic issues - it was nationalism.

If most European states were in Africa, they would be held up as model examples of regions that weren't ready for democracy or self-governance.

The DSA literally put "the mass murder of millions of people" on its party platform. Now Trump has given them what they wanted, and I dearly hope they are happy.
