Gotta say, of all the Bow River pathway segments, whoever is responsible for the Eau Claire segment did the worst job.

This is shared responsibility in action... thankfully no one was hit, but this is a daily occurrence: vids from my ride from Elboya to Ramsay just this morning:
No. 1, buddy in a Tesla in Elboya, blowing the stop sign. Thankfully his tires gripped on the ice, otherwise I woulda been a goner.

Cllr Atkinson asks about educating public re: pedestrian injuries/deaths. Deputy Chief O'Brien says peds + drivers both need education. People are being hit in crosswalks + jaywalking. Drivers not paying attention. "We’re trying to target everybody because it is a shared responsibility." #yyccc

Resolved… I think they sent a sweeper to do a hand shovel’s job. Moved the snow pile, widened the path on both sides, scraped quite a bit of the ice off. Safe travels… #yycbike
